About

The EMR Doctor was established  to help the busy practice achieve successful “Meaningful Use” attestation efficiently, painlessly and as cost effectively  as possible. We understand the nuances of  the government’s guidelines and how to quickly focus our client’s practice, in order to take advantage of the substantial government  incentives before the penalties for non-compliance take effect in 2015.

According to the CMS Hitec Los Angeles web site, as of May, 2012 only 192 of the 3,511 practices that have registered with Hitec within the Los Angeles area have qualified to receive their government funded “Meaningful Use” incentive of up to $44,000 per physician per practice(or $66,750 per physician, physician’s assistant or Nurse Practitioner for a practice with 30% Medi-Cal patients).  Only  181 of CALHIPSO’s over 6000 registered members have obtained their first Meaningful Use incentive.

The reason so few practices have successfully attested for  meaningful use may be obvious to physicians and their multi-tasking staff;  everyone involved in the practice is already too busy to handle the complicated set of additional responsibilities required for successful EMR implementation and achieving meaningful use within the practice.

The EMR Doctor is not affiliated with any specific EMR system or company.   We are an independent company that focuses on our client’s specific business needs by understanding their business.  For one low monthly fee, we act as your “Project Manager” for converting your office to using an approved EMR system so your busy practice can continue to operate during and after system implementation with few disruptions.
